Now, this is dancing!
Extatic Fridays - the 'Lollipop' edition turned into a dancing showcase as women took to the centre of the dance floor to work up a storm.
With women free before midnight, they turned out in droves in short skirts and shorts and got themselves prepped to wine. When THE STAR team got to the venue after 11 p.m., some persons gathered on the outskirts of the dance floor while others headed for the lawn area, as slow jams by Richie Ras played. Marc Chin from Coppershot, the resident deejay, was on the microphone building a vibe with songs such as Sensual Seduction by Snoop Dogg and Lollipop by Lil Wayne.
Lollipops and chocolates were made available at the bar as the women suggestively licked and danced to the music.
After midnight, Coppershot took over from Richie Ras going for a dancing vibe with songs like Roll It Gal and Bonnie and Clyde.
From soca, the music switched to 'oldies' and the women 'backed it up', showing off their 'coca cola' bottle shapes, while the Durex women took to the center building a vibe. A couple doing a very slow wine drew a few eyes as a woman in black walked out to Lady Saw's tune, her every move being trailed by men.
Wining tunes
The vibe continued to build as Coppershot's Marc Chin and DJ Sanjay hit the recent dancehall hits with a series of wining tunes from Beenie Man and others and couples took to 'daggering'. One couple took their wining to the ground as they intertwined to the delight of the crowd. By 1 a.m. the dance floor was almost full. There was also dancing on the lawns. When Assassin's Surveillance teased, the women got into a frenzy and the men took to the videolight doing To the World and Gully Creeper.
When THE STAR team left after 3 a.m. the party was still going strong, with the vibe this week more ecstatic than the one before.

This dancer shows his skills during a disorganised dance contest at Mix-A-Rama at Sugarman Beach, Hellshire, on Saturday night. - Nathaniel Stewart Photos
Mix-A-Rama, staged at Sugarman Beach, Portmore, St Catherine, strayed far from the scheduled start time advertised extensively in the media. The party, slated to begin at 4 p.m., did not see anything really happening until approximately 1 a.m. Sunday morning.
When THE STAR team arrived at the venue about 9:35 p.m., there was hardly anyone there. Most of the 12 selectors slated to thrill the crowd were not present and the vibe and energy was non-existent.
After hours of waiting, MC Elva took the microphone at 12:20 a.m. and introduced the Island Vibes selectors. They played a rather tame set and were soon replaced by Black Chiney, who played a somewhat similar set. The Black Chiney selectors, who explained that they were just coming from Japan, played a set that was not in favour with a Jamaican audience out to party hard.

Miss Kitty Fired!
Miss Kitty - nathaniel stewart
Popular personality Miss Kitty was fired from Nationwide News last Monday.
Miss Kitty, who hosts The Entertainment Office, a show which airs Monday to Friday between 2 to 5 p.m., says she is not distressed, but is looking forward to new heights.
When THE STAR contacted Miss Kitty, real name Khadine Hylton yesterday, the talk-show host confirmed that her services were no longer required at Nationwide.
LIBELLOUS SONG
According to Kitty, who has been with Nationwide for little under a year, her termination from the station started last week when she was suspended from her show for five days for playing a song that the station believed was libellous.

Busy Signal and his 'friends' Mavado and Bling Dawg perform at FAME Road Party, held at Palisadoes Go-Kart Track last Saturday.
APPROXIMATELY 11:45 p.m. when THE STAR team arrived inside the venue at the Palisados Go-Cart Track, one immediately got the feeling that the early vibes were still being built, as the spacious venue was not yet filled to half its capacity.
Not to worry though, the FAME's road party held last Saturday found the right climax as patrons were only slow in coming out, but a couple hours later, there was hardly even enough space to move to the bar to buy a drink.
The Captain, Colin Hines, was on the turntables at midnight, spinning patrons into a mad frenzy with his selection of tunes like Beenie Man's Chakka Chakka and Heart Attack, Vegas' Hot Wuk and Matterhorn's Dutty Wine.
Shifted into overdrive
However, the gear was shifted into overdrive when the 'party animal' Kurt Riley took over on the turntables, as he welcomed everyone to the FAME road party and ordered, "dim di light dem." And as the words of Lexxus' 'walk out inna di video ca' yuh cute gyal' played, there was pandemonium as the women put their best foot forward, and patrons, in general, followed suit and pulled closer to the front of the venue where all the action was taking place.
